Welcome to the DX Community (the “Community”), a Slack-based platform dedicated to fostering discussion, knowledge sharing, and networking among professionals interested in Developer Experience (DX).
By accessing or using the Community, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Use (“Terms”).
If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not join the Community.
1. Membership and Participation
1.1 Eligibility
The Community is open to all individuals.
1.2 Joining the Community
To join the Community, you must click on the “Join the slack” button on our landing page and join the slack. The administrators reserve the right to approve or reject membership requests at their discretion.
1.3 User Conduct
Members are expected to:
- Engage respectfully and professionally with others.
- Avoid posting offensive, discriminatory, or inappropriate content.
- Refrain from spamming or promoting unrelated products or services.
- Respect the confidentiality and privacy of other members.
2. Content and Contributions
2.1 Member Contributions
Members may post content, including messages, articles, and resources, related to Developer Experience. By posting content, you grant the Community a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, and worldwide license to use, modify, and distribute your content.
2.2 Content Guidelines
Content should:
- Be relevant to the topics of Developer Experience, Platform Engineering, and related fields.
- Not infringe on the intellectual property rights of others.
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
2.3 Moderation
The Community administrators reserve the right to moderate, edit, or remove any content that violates these Terms or is deemed inappropriate.
Please read the Code of Conduct for more information on acceptable behavior.
3. Privacy and Data Protection
3.1 Data Collection
We collect personal information during the registration process and through your interactions within the Community. This information is used to manage your membership and enhance your experience.
3.2 Data Use
Your personal information will be used in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties without your consent, except as required by law.
3.3 Slack Integration
The Community operates on the Slack platform. By joining, you agree to Slack’s terms and policies, including their privacy practices.
4. Intellectual Property
4.1 Community Content
All content and materials within the Community, including text, graphics, logos, and software, are the property of the Community or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.
4.2 Member Content
Members retain ownership of their contributions. By posting content, you represent that you have the right to grant the license described in Section 2.1.
5. Limitation of Liability
5.1 No Warranties
The Community is provided on an “as-is” basis. We make no warranties or representations regarding the accuracy or reliability of the content.
5.2 Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Community and its administrators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of or related to your use of the Community.
6. Termination
6.1 Termination by You
You may terminate your membership at any time by leaving the Community on Slack.
6.2 Termination by Administrators
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your membership for violations of these Terms or any conduct that is harmful to the Community or its members.
7. Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted within the Community and will take effect immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the Community after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
